Overview

Enjoy modern Thai cuisine at Bistro Mekong, located in Sydney’s Castlecrag.
This is the sister restaurant of the popular Mekong in Chippendale’s Kensington Street. Chef Tiw Rakarin heads up the kitchen team with a menu inspired by the countries that line the Mekong River.
While you can, of course, order your own dish, this food is designed to be shared – the best way to avoid food envy!
If you like bold flavours, make sure you try the Cambodian beef curry or the Thai barbecue chicken. If seafood whets your appetite, you can’t go past the restaurant’s signature dish: the royal amok curry, complete with king prawns, scallops, barramundi and clams.
There are vegetarian and gluten-free options available, and with dishes like dumpling and noodles on the menu, you’re bound to find something to please the kids.
A limited dessert menu is on offer, but the drinks are plentiful, whether you’re after a wine or a signature cocktail.
You can indulge in all this deliciousness in the bistro or in the trendy outdoor courtyard for an al fresco dining experience.
