Pilu at Freshwater

I love it at Pilu!! The food is sensational, service is very attentive, amazing views!! Everything is just perfect.

My mum and I came to Pilu to celebrate and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The meals are a pure delight to the taste buds as well as your eye. They were complimented with a sparkling from Italy which was simply beautiful. The staff were very attentive and the location cannot be topped as we looked out on the ocean while dining. If in Sydney, this experience should not be missed. <3

Fantastic views and atmosphere

It was our second visit to Pilu. We chose the three-course menu, having had the eight course Degustation previously.
Impeccable service, superb food, excellent wine recommendations from the sommelier and a most relaxed dinner experience.
Definitely our favorite fine dining restaurant on the northern beaches.
We will be back!

Absolutely fantastic experience from the moment we walked in the door. Stunning views, amazing attentive service and extraordinary food. Major highlight was the mousse dessert - presentation was awesome and flavours perfect in every way!

Fantastic food and service

We chose the 5 course degustation which was delicious but very little food. I would recommended the 3 course meal option as seeing other people’s meals the portions were much better value! The service and view are amazing!!!

It was our first time at Pilu, we weren't expecting the expansive ocean view that greeted us and to be sat at a prime table with those views. Food was great and service impeccable. I would like to repeat this experience for dinner as our reservation for lunch this time.

Pilu is one of our favourite restaurants. Went there for my husbands birthday and had the 8 course degustation menu. One word. Sublime.
And to top it off there were quite a few whales in the ocean . You can’t get better in life.

Absolutely wonderful and delicious dining experience as you would expect from the 2 star Michelin rated restaurant. The menu and combinations of ingredients tantalised our taste buds. We loved every part of the package with attentive and friendly service, quality wines and magnificent location. It was a privilege to eat there.

The food and service at Pilu was second to none.
We each had the 5 course dinner that was well constructed and absolutely delicious. The wait staff was attentive and well educated on all of the food served. Every dish was introduced eloquently with a short summary of the food including its origin and method of preparation. The cherry on top was the phenomenal view of Freshie beach.

When booking a deal there’s always the risk that you will be the poor relation when you arrive, stuck in a corner and given the offcuts. This could not be further from our experience. On arrival we were warmly greeted, given a prime window table and received the exceptional service and attention to detail you would expect from a two hatted restaurant. Our 2 children (aged 11 and 13) were given the option of child friendly alternatives but the menu was varied and interesting enough to entice them to try something new. All of our meals were beautifully presented and so delicious that not a scrap remained on any of the plates for any of the courses. The wine selection was vast and the Sardinian wines suggested perfectly complemented our food. All in all a fantastic dining experience in a truly beautiful setting. Thank you to all the staff for making a celebration meal so wonderfully memorable.

Great service, food and location. We indulged and went for the 8 course degustation - was a truely memorable food journey. Its seriously one of the best meals I've had in a long time and credit to the Pilu team - it ran like clock work and a lazy lunch with a view like that - it doesn't get much better!

Perfect in everyway

Such a beautiful restaurant, fantastic staff, can't fault them at all. The venue is superb and the food is so fresh and true.

Food and service stunning from start to finish.

When you have high expectations for something it's not uncommon to be disappointed - thankfully this was not the case at Pilu. The location is outstanding, right on Freshwater beach and the experience starts right there at the entrance. The staff are sensational, attentive but with humour, very friendly, the food of course if terrific. We were a table of four with one vegetarian and there was ample choice for us all to enjoy a meal to our own taste.The dishes are imaginative but with a traditional basis. I highly recommend this restaurant, in particular for a special occasion.

A wonderful experience

Immaculate is the only word to describe this restaurant. Each aspect as good as the next. From the drop dead gorgeous views, pristine table settings, enthusiastic and extremely attentive waiter to the absolutely beautifully crafted menu. Each and every dish - just jaw dropping. My mum thoroughly enjoyed her 50th Birthday lunch. Can’t recommend more.

We have eaten at Pilu’s a few times now and every time it has been fantastic. The location is perfect as is the food, the service and the atmosphere.

We had a pleasant lunch experience at Pilu. We chose the degustation menu with matching wines. While the cost of including the wines with each course was much more costly than buying an individual bottle they were exceptional wines. The restaurant is definitely "minimalistic" in its decor. The view is lovely.

We have been to pilu a few times over the years, the whole experience is always first class. Highly recommend and in our opinion still best restaurant on the northern beaches. Both had the special venison for main, would be good to see it full time on nenu. Thanks for a great night

From a warm greeting to a window table with views across freshwater beach, friends and myself shared a beautiful 1st table lunch with impeccable service and an excellent wine list.. I highly recommend 1st table and the experience it offers ...

This was a delightful experience. The knowledge of our ‘waiter’ James (he was really a lot more than that) regarding the food and wines to match was so informative, and I love eating food that I’ve never eaten elsewhere, such as pheasant that was so delicate and tasty, and a desert of Sardinian pastry. I could go on, but just go and see and eat for yourselves, you won’t be sorry!

We did the 8 course degustation with matching wines. The Scampi and wines all matching wines were beautiful. Service was good.

My husband and I had a very special evening at Pilu's - we are both vegetarian, so chose the amazing Vegetarian degustation meal. A fabulous experience with so much thought put into the combinations of flavours and different courses. It isn't very often that we find such creative and imaginative vegetarian cuisine. We thoroughly recommend!

Pilu is excellent. The food was top quality - full of flavour and balance. The wit staff were really helpful. I can see why it is always booked out. we are hoping to come back soon.

Pilu is in a stunning beachfront location and we were given a table with lovely views of the surf. The Sardinian menu offers lots of interesting options for the adventurous. The service was attentive, and there was a good selection of wine by the glass. This is an expensive restaurant, but is perfect for a special occasion.

Can’t fault the food or the service. Had a lovely evening, looking forward to coming back!
