Flavour of India is a beautifully structured restaurant with delicious options of food and fantastic service.

My partner and I were greeted warmly upon arrival. As for the food, its was wonderful. The samosas for entree were large and tasty and for our mains, we indulged in a lamb korma and kashmiri beef, both curries were delightful! My partner tried a cheese and chili naan to go with his curry and after trying some of that myself I must say it was a tasty novelty. Our dessert was equally enjoyable, my partner going for the sweet, dense gulab jamon and a cool, creamy toblerone pyramid for myself. The pyramid was no where near what I expected it to be, being a dish of chocolate and vanilla ice cream rather than chocolate but it was still super delicious.

We had such a great time and really enjoyed the food. The chef even came out to ask us how we were getting along, which we thought was an absolute honour and made us feel very special.

I definitely recommend Flavour of India to anyone looking for a quality Indian cuisine experience.

The Flavour of India has been tempting taste buds for 30 years and shows no sign of losing the public's appetite.
In an unpretentious location on a busy Sydney highway this eaterie is an oasis of calm and cool culinary creations.
The sizzling Tandoori plate of lamb chops, chicken and fish is always a winner. But wait, there's more.
Fully flavoured curries galore. And no skimping on the quality and quantity.
The staff are superb and the portions so generous you're going to need a doggie bag.
Probably Sydney's finest eaterie.

My wife and I have driven by this restaurant for years and thought it would be nice to try it. First Table made this experience a good value. We enjoyed the food and the service was great. The decor created a nice ambience and though it is located on a busy road, there was no noise problem at all.

As always the food is terrific. With the hot weather had the chicken salad which I can't wait to have again. Love that the chef personally comes to your table to ask if all is OK and sends over something sweet to finish the meal off. Been to this restaurant over the years more times than I can remember.
Thank you.

The food here is delicious. I have never had a meal here that I didn't like. The service is fantastic and no detail is overlooked.

Staff were very attentive from the moment we walked through the door: we were even offered complimentary dessert which we would have accepted if a) we didn't have to rush off and b) were not so full after a delicious meal! Generous portion sizes (samosas and naan notably) and everything very flavourful. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!

Rated as the second best restaurant on TripAdvisor for Sydney restaurants, Flavour of India in Edgecliff packs a punch on every level, including the wonderful smiles from the staff and head chef Hayat. From the crunchy spring rolls and papadams to the nutty sweet fish coconut curry, everything was delicious and delighted the senses. We will def be back to enjoy more hospitality and authentic East Indian food. Thank you for a fabulous dinner !

Food was super average. Not good but not bad.. just meh! Indian has to be one of the most exciting divers flavour spectrums.. but not here. Breads were good though. Service was attentive and professional. Don’t go out of your for this one but ok if in the area.

It was once our favorite place to dine at, but not anymore now. We were so thirsty after having our dinner here last Sunday, and undoubtedly it was due to the MSG used in the food. The restaurant obviously was short-handed, we and also the table next to us, had to wait for a while to catch the attention of the waitress in getting our glasses refilled with water. The same happened when we wanted to pay for our bill.

The used to be complimentary papadum served before our food was served, was no longer automatically served. We had to request for it and were charged for that for $13, sum of which was later removed upon our query.

It was once an impressive restaurant but not during our last visit.

Great Indian dishes, and love that they have their own inventive touch added to their menu! The head chef Hayat was very friendly and fun and gave us complementary desserts to share - refreshing mango icecream stack creation and an original chocolate naan bread that was delicious! 2

This is the first time my wife and I have used First Table and one word....Superb!

Booking process so easy, the food fantastic and the service warm and friendly.

In my experience, sometimes when you purchase something which is discounted, then the attitude and service gets a little discounted as well. Not here though. Everything was exceptional.

Excellent service. We took our friend here for his 30th Birthday as he loves Indian food and it was gorgeous. When the chef heard it was his Bday he came out with a dessert for him and to say Happy Birthday. Good Indian food, highly recommend.

One of the better Indian restaurants in Sydney if you like a British style curry and with First Table very reasonable indeed. Excellent naan breads!

Other than finding parking, we had a wonderful dinner at Flavour of India. As a tip, for an early dinner park at Edgecliff shopping centre and walk across the road.

The restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants we've been to.

The decor and setting is really nice.

The service was even better and the food was excellent.

From the delicious cucumber dips with papadums to the various delicious chicken and lamb mains, there wasn't much we could fault.

We'll definitely be back

It was the second time visiting the restaurant. It was on Thursday evening yet the restaurant was almost full House by the time our orders were served. We were given a complimentary bowl of rice which was to our surprise. Indeed the rice went tastier with its curry instead of naan.
We tried the mango curry chicken which was really yummy. Our kids liked it very much.
Good service and quality food say a thousand words with the owner’s passion and sincerity.

Excellent service, staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, all curries with lots of flavour and authentic taste. The garlic chilli prawn curry was my favourite, generous serving of prawns, which was great. The famous butter chicken is also a must try, rich creamy flavours and tender chicken. I will certainly be back to edgecliff soon, the food and service was incredible and I enjoyed the experience!
