Experience a gourmet-lover’s paradise at the Belgian Beer Café Heritage. Located in The Rocks, this dining destination combines a love of tradition with the very best in quality, from the classic building design to the menu.

For the uninitiated, Belgian cuisine can be described as being as fine as French fare, and as generous as German. Indulge in house specialties such as the bouillabaisse, a provencale fish stew of soft-shell crab, fish, prawns and mussels. If seafood isn’t to your taste, try the pork knuckle or Belgian meatballs, two dishes that truly pay homage to the classic Belgian style of food. Of course, the grill is also on offer, and you can enjoy a delicious eye fillet or rump steak served with a selection of tasty sauces.

All these meals come with a recommended beer pairing—and at a beer café, would you expect anything less? Indulge in one of the many brews on offer, whether you’re after a draught, artisan-style, trappiste or fruit beer.

This restaurant is easily accessible by public transport and a great spot to bring your friends. The Belgian Beer Café Heritage is a venue you’ll enjoy visiting time and time again.

Such an amazing excuse to dine at a restaurant we hadn't heard of before.
Brilliant selection of beers to accompany the menu.
We settled on the incredibly succulent pork knuckle with sauerkraut, crispy crackling and some of the most creamy mashed potatoes i had to this day. Easily a 10/10 experience for old world charm, atmosphere and dinning!!

Great venue for a special dinner, to celebrate a birthday with friends from Germany. All of us had mussels, different kinds, and it was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, a really special place which gives you a European ‘vibe’.

5 Star Service! The meals are like pub food but with a bit of extra charm. I could not fault our experience and would highly recommend a visit to the Belgian Beer Cafe - the blue cheese mussels are amazing!

Great service! We came at 5:30pm when it wasn't busy yet so the service was super quick and nice. The staffs are very attentive and friendly. The food was fast served as well. We had Traditionelle mussels (comes with a serve of chips), a mac n cheese, and 4 beers. Absolutely good experience!

The staff were wonderful! The way we were looked after from the moment we walked in and up to the smallest details was incredible. The food also was amazing.. we had a feast with the crispy pork, pretzel, mussels and steak it’s been probably one of the best meals that we’ve had in a long time. And lastly, the ambiance, the place had a lot of character and it was lively. PS don’t forget to grab a beer. We would be returning soon!

I dined with family at this restaurant pre Vivid! The atmosphere was invitingly warm and cosy on a wet, rainy evening. We ordered the pork knuckle and mussels to share - like home cooking, full of flavour and perfect for a winter's night. The staff were efficient and could not be more helpful.

Great variety of beers on tap and packaged. Food average, some dining tables are small for four adults. Go for the beer.

Great place and service but I should have had the house specialty (mussels) as the pot pie wasn’t the best. Would go back for the mussels!

Was not happy with the food that I ordered. Meatballs and mashed potatoes also sausages and mashed potatoes were really old and dry. My kids didn't eat 1/4 of them. Also we ordered waffles with ice cream which was same as dry and for $16 only one waffle with one small ice cream. Tastes of them was not suitable for the price and restaurant.

Great location just west of Circular Quay and the Rocks. Had a great filling meal which encompassed a variety of food options. Mussels are a definite must get.

The experience was OK at best but the place was old and had a funny smell when we walked in.
The food was average pub food and I wouldn't have paid full price for it!
There wasn't enough staff so we seated ourselves and constantly had to ask for menus and drinks.

Not my first time there. Had dinner with a bunch of Belgian friends this time and they all testified the food is pretty authentic. We shared the pork knuckle between three of us and it was delicious. Mussels are great too.

Service is definitely a downside - slow and generally pretty slack, with most waiting staff walking around with deeply concerned faces but not really engaging much into customers. Hope they are OK out there.

We, a family of 4 were greeted warmly and seated at our reserved table. We were given both drinks & food menus.

On looking around at other patrons, it became clear that the mussels were the speciality of the house.

We ordered a serve of ‘Frank’s Sauce Buffalo Chicken Wings’ which 2 of us shared. These tasty little morsels were a spicy delight.

We then ordered fish & chips for one child, which she said was delicious and nuggets and chips for child 2, they were slightly over cooked.

My husband and I both ordered mussels - I had the Siam mussels which were in a divine coconut broth, while my husband had the Tin Tin au Congo mussels, an asian broth with coriander & chilli.

The food is good and the beer cold, although on the expensive side!!

We would definitely go back for the mussels.

Excellent food and service. The ambience is very pleasant and it was just a great night. The 1kg pork knuckle was delicious and tender. The mussels were small but very tasty. My young son polished off the sausages and mash. The dessert was also fabulous. We left our plates empty and our tummies full.

Service was friendly. Great beers, but expensive. The food was ordinary. We had the Kriek braised 1kg pork knuckle which was tender. But the calamari starter was soaky, the buffalo chicken wings did not taste fresh, more like frozen.

Booking through first table for Belgian beer cafe heritage surpassed my expectations. I was welcomed by professional staff at the restaurant and provided with excellent service throughout the night. The only thing sweeter than their authentic Belgian waffles was getting using First Table.

This was our first time using the first table. Mussel dish was nice but the steak was alright. Good service but not many waiters and waitress on the floor so it was slightly inconvenient to call the staff when needed. But overall experience was satisfying and would definitely come back for the mussel dish!!

This was our first time in the Belgian Beer Café Heritage. I was a bit worried that it might feel too much like a regular pub but it does have its own character. The food was good, the service itself FANTASTIC! The lady who served us made us feel very welcomed. Thank you!

This historical place provides amazing food quality and service. The pork ribs melts in your mouth, much much better than other more famous ribs restaurant. They have good selection/varieties of Belgian beers (tripple karameliet yum!). The service is top notch, can't fault anything.

Really big venue, quiet when we went but I can imagine it gets very busy later on.
Huge selection of beers with a happy hour available mon-fri.
We ordered the famous mussels which were delicious and we had the rump steak which was also fantastic.
The Pork belly bites were the only disappointment for me.. the sauce just didn’t go with it.
Also have a good selection of wine so you’re not limited to Beer only.

The food was ok, I had calamari starter and they were overcooked. The belgian hotdog was good but nothing special.about it (no special mustarf or sauerkraut). The french fries were good but not as they are supposed to be since it's a belgian speciality. The beer was good but really pricey.
