Ever so chic, ever so modern, The Canopy is, contrary to its name, brightening up mornings, afternoons and evenings with a contemporary Australian menu that's taking the city by storm.

Occupying a spot on Liverpool Street, The Canopy is a hop, skip and a jump away from Hyde Park and Museum Station. It just serves to make their great coffee, food and atmosphere all the more accessible. This is where modern, cosmopolitan life hits its stride. Abstract trees circle the dining room, a cloud-life spectre hangs from the ceiling and sculptured birds carry bulbs from hither and thither, all combining to create a contemporary woodland fairytale.

It's a wonderfully revitalising spot to chow down on some breakfast. Alongside award winning coffee sits some very special eats like the big breaky with all the delicious trimmings, Italian sausage and egg cheese rolls, egg benedict and sweet potato and corn fritters, served with a spritely herb, apple and pomegranate salad. As for the sweet tooths, get involved with some caramelised banana bread or a Belgian waffle dripping with chocolate.

And for lunch and dinner, Western staples get a reboot with wonderful pasta, pizza and burger options. Keep it Italiano with some seafood Fettucine, braised lamb ragu or a happy slice or four with all the classic pizza toppings. Alternatively, stack it up with a pulled pork, Angus beef or crispy chicken burger and wash it down with anything from the bar. Keep it breezy and bright; after all, The Canopy is far from throwing shade.
