Unbeatable comfort food in a surf-side setting at Noosa’s Halse Lodge. What more could you ask for?

Halse Lodge is a stunning wooden slatted building, white-walled and airy, typical of early Queensland architecture. Cosy interiors open onto a stunning veranda, a short distance from the headland that makes this area famous.

The home-style menu will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside with options such as the Baja fish tacos as a light meal to share, or perhaps settle into an ol' style chicken parmy. We promise you won't put a foot wrong with Halse Lodge's honest, authentic cuisine.

Booze is never in short supply, from more than six tap and numerous bottled beers to an extensive range of wines and spirits, you’ll be sure to find something that sufficiently wets your whistle.

For essential Queensland eating in one of the most sought-after destinations in Australia, head over to Halse Lodge today.

What a wonderful neighbourhood treasure. First time for us and definitely won’t be the last Prawn Linguine was delicious as was the fish tacos. Fish and chips looked plentiful and fresh. A real happening vibe with a variety of patrons and an eclectic relaxed venue.

Absolutely awesome meal. The baked Brie we had for entree was to die for and a decent serving. We also ordered the steak with tarragon butter and it was delicious. Can't wait to dine here again!!

We were very pleasantly suprized! Even though this Lodge offers hostel accommodation & one might think that the restaurant would in turn be offering cafe sort of food; this was not the case!
The service was friendly and the food was excellent. On our table, we had chicken parmigiana, fried chicken burger and two of the rump steak dinners. All 4 of us were very pleased! My husband and I opted for the steaks and even though rump steak (we would normally opt for fillet) were delicious! The manner in which these meals were plated were very aesthetically pleasing to the eye; and the beautiful smashed kipfler potatoes and fresh green beans with tarragon butter, was scrumptious!
For dessert, we also had the very tasty sticky toffee pudding with ice cream drizzled with caramel! This was extremely moist and tasty!

Add to this, the well laid out seating areas and lovely ambience, with elevated views and the beautiful glow from the torches around the restaurant area.

Overall we left, with having had a fantastic dining experience and being extremely full and satisfied!
What a great offer of the 50% off! We will be definitely using ‘First Table’ again! We were extremely impressed!
Thank you!

Had s great night at Halse Lodge. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. They made the whole process really easy and explained how the first table offer worked. We just had to mention our booking at time if ordering to receive the discount and they didn’t mind us ordering and paying separately. The food was great, loved the prawn pasta. View from the deck was beautiful, just catching the sunset over the trees! Thanks first table and Halse Losge!

Halse lodge was a pleasant night,
We had a great seat, and an ambient bite,
With lots of atmosphere, vibrancy and fun,
The restaraunt was great with little to be done,
The staff were kind and eager to please,
They handled our requests with a dynamic ease,
When the food came our steak was a treat,
Cooked perfectly medium, no easy feat,
If decent pub grub with a cool ambience is your thing,
Then Go to Halse lodge at Noosa, and let happiness ring...:)

Food was really good and so was the location. A lovely old Queenslander with deck. Will definitely be back to enjoy some of the other tasty dishes.

We loved our experience at Halse Lodge. Super friendly and helpful staff. The waitress even turned on the outside heater when I commented that I was a bit cold.
Amazing vegetarian risotto. So delicious. Loads of yummy veggies and goats cheese so it was very light and healthy. Absolutely loved my hot apple crumble and ice cream. My husband loved the vegetables accompanying his great steak and was in heaven enjoying his hot chocolate brownie and ice cream. I have already recommended Halse Lodge to friends staying up here. Thank you for lovely evening.

Going back to Halse Lodge after fifty years was certainly an experience. The National Trust building has been responsibly maintained and how good for the public to be able to dine there and share the history of this grand old guest house.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were very well priced as was the food. Our meals were of good quality, generous proportions and delivered promptly.
We'll be back!
