Fonda Mexican Windsor has become a go-to for Melburnians craving lively, authentic Mexican fare in a vibrant and welcoming setting.

Named one of Melbourne's best Mexican restaurants by The Urban List, Fonda offers a weather-safe rooftop, and an intimate mezzanine bar named Atico.

The Melbourne outpost taps true Mexican cuisine as well as a delicious mix of new and traditional dishes like the lamb shoulder taco or the pork scotch quesadilla which features pineapple, rocket, and mango crema. In true relaxed Mexican fashion, start off with an order of tortilla chips served with house-made guacamole and pico de gallo or perfectly charred corn before moving on to an entree.

The ideal accompaniment to a stack of tacos is a selection of fresh coldies, and you definitely won’t be disappointed there either, as the Chapel Street signature is the beer cocktails like the Tainted Love with vodka, pineapple and fresh lime syrup, ginger beer and Bavarian craft beer, or opt for a pitcher of Fonda margarita.

Open every day for lunch and dinner, one can enjoy Mexican hospitality along with the crispness of summer-fresh foods. When summer rolls around, the weather-safe rooftop is the perfect spot to while away an afternoon with friends or loved ones.

When it comes to friendly and relaxed, you can’t go past Melbourne’s Chapel Street offering, Fonda Mexican Windsor.
