In Scoresby, Archie's Farm Restaurant and Bar offers a quietly confident take on modern Australian dining. Fresh from being named Hotel Restaurant of the Year at the 2024 & 2025 Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence, it channels a produce-first philosophy, championing local ingredients and trusted regional suppliers.

The opening movements invite conviviality and sharing: marinated Australian olives with smoked almonds and grilled flatbread, or a charcuterie board layered with house pickles and grilled vegetables on house-baked focaccia. Entrées set a bright, elegant tone — burrata with heirloom tomatoes, basil and grilled sourdough under a drizzle of aged balsamic; Tasmanian salmon gravlax lifted by shaved fennel, crème fraîche, sea herbs and citrus.

Mains speak in fuller notes. There is lemon myrtle brined free-range chicken breast with roasted garlic and thyme-kipfler potatoes beside charred seasonal greens, and a char-grilled pork loin softened by braised cabbage, celeriac purée and apple compote. From the grill, classic comforts are refined: a 200g ribeye with Dauphinoise potato and butter glazed vegetables, or wagyu rump MB4–5 with the same indulgent trimmings.

With an easygoing poise that suits both leisurely lunches and polished evening dining, the restaurant and bar favours generous hospitality and unpretentious finesse. Settle in with good company, raise a glass, and let the kitchen take the lead. Book ahead and follow the flavour; the farm is calling.
