Bloom and Ember brings a bright, brunch-first spirit to Northcote, Melbourne, where specialty coffee meets an easygoing, Asian‑influenced kitchen. It is the kind of café where bold flavours and friendly service set the tone, with a cosy interior for unhurried catch‑ups and lively sips.

On the plate, the menu leans indulgent and playful without losing its sense of balance. A crème brûlée French toast arrives on pillowy Shokupan, topped with strawberry, Biscoff crumbs, and a gloss of raspberry coulis. For those craving something heartier, the Big Brekkie stacks eggs your way with bacon, chorizo, a hash brown, tomato, and mushroom on buttered seeded sourdough - a classic, done with care and comfort in mind.

Coffee is a signature here, featuring beans by Zest, with options ranging from punchy espresso and white coffees to matcha and hojicha lattes. When the temperature climbs, the "Chilled" menu keeps things cool with iced coffees, strawberry matcha, and Vietnamese iced coffee. The rhythm is relaxed and the smiles genuine. Please note, dinners are on hold until 2026.

Drop in for breakfast or lunch, settle in, and let the good times glow - it is bloom by day, ember by afternoon at Bloom & Ember!
