Within easy striking distance of Melbourne, it is the perfect place to escape the city’s bustle and enjoy good company and even better wine in a refined yet relaxed setting.

The six-course tasting menu is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. All of the dishes are immaculate in their presentation, with aesthetically pleasing swoops of sauce and pretty garnishes such as edible flowers.

Dishes change regularly to reflect the seasons, but current must trys include raw tuna loin alongside pickled daikon and Flinders Island lamb, slow cooked and served with samphire. Not feeling up to the six-course challenge? Take your pick from the a la carte menu.

When it comes to wines, you are naturally spoilt for choice. Everything is locally produced, from the Cricketers Arms ale from Melbourne to the ripe, earthy Pinot Noir which is grown in the restaurant’s own vineyard.

By far one of the nicest dining experience we’ve had in while. We were greeted with spectacular views of vineyards as we drove into the winery. The restaurant offered modern and relaxed dining ambience. You can also choose a more casual outdoor area to enjoy great food, wine and views. The service was faultless by all front of house staff and the quality of the food were commendable. All our dishes were balanced, the ingredients and flavours complimented each other and they were all beautifully presented. We were also able to match wines with our meals as the wine list was well priced. Thank you to the team at Barhah Park Restaurant & Cellar and First Table.
