Farro Pizzeria in Moonee Ponds brings the soul of Italian craft to a neighbourhood favourite.

Here, slow-fermented sourdough meets wood-fired tradition, yielding pizzas with light, tangy bases kissed by gentle smoke. It's an artisanal approach that extends beyond the crust, with fresh pasta and carefully chosen ingredients shaping a menu that nods to both heritage and the community's diverse tastes.

The kitchen's rhythm begins with hand-tossed dough, rested for depth of flavour and blistered at high heat for that coveted char. Toppings are thoughtful rather than showy, letting quality shine while weaving in local influences. Fresh pasta adds another thread to the tapestry, paired with sauces that balance comfort and clarity, tradition and a modern Australian sensibility.

Inside, the atmosphere's warm and convivial - a cosy room abuzz with the hum of conversation and the soft glow of the oven. It feels like a place made for lingering - friends sharing slices, families gathering, and regulars who treat it as an extension of their own table.

For those seeking honest flavour and skilled simplicity, Farro Pizzeria awaits. Let the wood fire set the tone, settle in, and follow the crumb trail to something delicious!
