In the heart of Fitzroy, Patee Thai serves an authentic taste of Thailand with a vibrant, welcoming spirit. The kitchen champions high-quality local ingredients, and dishes are crafted by Thai chefs who balance brightness, depth and spice with deft assurance. It’s the kind of place where the chatter hums, the aromas entice and the first spoonful promises the next.

Curries are a calling card - think a fragrant green curry threaded with Thai basil, or a slow-cooked massaman beef layered with sweet potato, peanuts and a gentle tang of pineapple. For creamy richness, panang brings coconut warmth to green beans, capsicum and zucchini, while the wok breathes life into staples that feel anything but standard.

Noodle lovers will find comfort in pad see ew and the authentic pad Thai, featuring stir-fried rice noodles with egg, bean sprouts and peanuts, coated in a tangy tamarind sauce. From the mains, pad ka pow boran delivers crispy pork in a spicy, aromatic stir-fry, while pad satay offers a soothing medley of vegetables covered in house-made peanut satay sauce.

Make a night of it, linger over the spice and let Patee Thai do the talking. Book in, tuck in and have a Thai-old time!
