dinner

Dough and Co brings a taste of Italian comfort to Ferntree Gully, Melbourne, with a menu that favours simple pleasures done well. It is the kind of place where familiar flavours take centre stage, from classic pizzas to comforting pastas and time-honoured mains, all served with an easygoing charm.

To begin, arancini arrive crisp and golden, giving way to molten mozzarella and a moreish dip, while a salmon and avocado salad balances smoked richness with bright lemon and cool creaminess. It sets the tone for a meal that is generous yet unfussy, guided by balance rather than bravado.

Pizzas lean into tradition, with a margherita keeping things pure with tomato, mozzarella and basil, and a meat-lovers option turning up the savoury with salami and Italian sausage. Pastas follow suit: carbonara is rich and silky with pancetta, eggs, parmesan and pecorino, while lasagna layers meat sauce and béchamel beneath a comforting blanket of melted cheese.

Hearty mains keep everyone happy, from a crowd-pleasing chicken parma with chips or salad to steak pizzaiola in a garlicky tomato sauce with olives. Little diners are looked after, and the finale is classic: tiramisu and cannoli for a sweet send-off. Gather your favourites, book a table, and let the dough do the talking—one slice at a time.
