The Old Garage

Once a mechanic’s workshop, The Old Garage in Camberwell has been reimagined into a welcoming neighbourhood spot with plenty of charm. Since opening in 2020, it has become a favourite for locals thanks to its relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere.

The menu blends Aussie brunch staples with flavours from South America and the Mediterranean. Lunchtime highlights include tacos filled with grilled chicken or tiger prawns, paired with cabbage slaw and avocado and mango salsa, as well as grilled salmon served on parsnip purée with a vibrant salsa verde.

There is also no shortage of hearty classics. Toasties and burgers feature prominently, from the Spanish brekkie roll stacked with fried egg, chorizo, cheese, spinach and relish on a brioche bun, to mac and cheese toasted on sourdough, and a juicy grilled chicken burger served with chips.

Old Garage Café has earned its place as a true local favourite, offering good food, warm hospitality, and a space that feels like home.
