Brunch has landed on Lygon Street as Mister Wilkinson Cafe and Bar opens its doors beside the well-known Mister Wilkinson bar.

A true neighbourhood spot in Brunswick East, it brings a gentle hum of community to the morning hours, with a warm welcome and a breakfast menu designed for lingering conversations and leisurely second coffees.

Comfort is the headline and generosity the subtext. Mr. W's Big Breakfast sets the tone with free-range eggs, bacon, baked mushrooms, a crisp hash brown, roasted tomato, spinach and sourdough, all lifted by a dab of chilli jam.

For those with a sweet tooth, Mr. W's berry bliss waffles offer a soft landing: Belgian waffles topped with whipped mascarpone, fresh strawberries and blueberries, finished with a house-made berry coulis that tastes like summer. Extras such as bacon or avocado add a tailored touch.

The drinks list keeps things bright and breezy. Options range from a well-made latte to fresh-pressed juices like green apple and pear, complementing the flavours on the plate.

It is the kind of place where mornings stretch happily into the day. Swing by Mister Wilkinson Cafe & Bar, settle in with a coffee, and make it a local ritual worth getting out of bed for!
