Nestled on the Gold Coast Highway in Mermaid Beach, Ramen Kyo is where Tokyo’s ramen tradition meets local flair. Since opening quietly in December 2024, this modern ramen bar has quickly captured the hearts of food lovers across the Gold Coast.

The menu is a celebration of flavour and colour: guests can choose from a lineup of seven ramen varieties, each inspired by colour-coded names like Shiro White, Ao Blue, Kuro Black, Aka Oni (Red Demon), Midori Green, Aka Red, and Kin Gold.

What sets Ramen Kyo apart is its focus on chicken-based broth, in place of the richer pork broths more traditionally associated with ramen. The result is a lighter yet still deeply satisfying bowl — complemented by house-made noodles and low-temperature cooked chicken chashu.
