dinner

In Brisbane’s riverside suburb of Teneriffe, Phat Pho brings the fresh, fragrant soul of Vietnamese cooking to the neighbourhood. It’s a place where clean, herb-bright flavours take centre stage, from crisp salads to steaming bowls that soothe and satisfy.

Lighter bites set the tone with balance and crunch. The Viet noodle salad tosses rice noodles with lettuce, cucumber, mint, coriander, bean sprouts and pickled carrots, all lifted by nuoc cham and a scatter of peanuts. Goi ga, the Vietnamese chicken salad, layers poached chicken with cabbage, lime, fresh mint and sesame rice crackers for a lively mix of texture and zing.

For something street-side and nostalgic, there’s banh mi thit and golden spring rolls with a choice of pork or vegetarian. Heartier plates lean into comfort without losing clarity - lemongrass chilli chicken arrives with greens and jasmine rice, while caramelised pork belly comes glossy and tender, paired with fresh salad.

At the heart of the menu, pho is the signature draw: a pho beef bowl with brisket, beef balls and herbs in a deep, aromatic broth, or a gentler pho chicken bowl, both finished with essential garnishes.

Whether craving crunch, comfort or a restorative broth, Phat Pho answers with flavour and finesse. Plan a visit, follow the fragrance of herbs, and let the good times roll - pho the love of it!
