Combining stunning tapas with even finer wines, Moda Restaurant is a glamorous boutique restaurant that boasts a unique setting.

Taking up residence in a heritage-listed building, this charming eatery has all the personality and flair of an authentic Spanish brasserie. Cooking up a storm is Head Chef Javier Codina. His love of fresh produce inspires him to hand-select his fruit, vegetables and herbs direct from the markets which means menu items could change daily based on what’s perfect and what is in season.

Now, did someone say tapas? You won't get much better than the small plates of sheer joy at Moda. Indulge in anything from their kingfish ceviche, blue mackerel and tempura monkfish to more meaty plates like the chicken liver parfait, pork belly and Brisbane valley quail.

And with a MIBRASA charcoal oven at their disposal, they also serve the most sublime steaks that go perfectly with their expertly chosen selection of Spanish, South American and Australian wines.

They are conveniently located in the Barracks venue, close to Roma Street train station, Caxton Street and Suncorp Stadium. Better yet, you will get 2 hours of free, secure, undercover parking at the Barracks.

Moda Tapas Brasa is definitely my favourite restaurant in Brisbane - such amazing food and phenomenal service. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Wow what a nice place. I did visit a year ago, so I knew it would be fantastic. Open kitchen, watching the kitchen brigade move was so fascinating.
Our waiter was lovely, and yes, it has been too quiet, and yes, their functions have been cancelled. They will carry on whilst they can.
We ordered 6 tapas, chef Javier choice, which they generously offered even to First Table clients.
Chicken liver Pâté with sherry jelly, Hervey Bay scallops with saffron, chorizo with peppers, baby quail with ratatouille, trout with salmon caviar and crème fraiche and finally baked figs with crispy Serrano ham.
We were too full for desert, though they did show us the complete selection on a tray. Very tempting but we just finished our good Spanish wine.

In the Barracks complex, free 2 hour parking. Very large room, not cramped, good lighting and music at the right volume.

Please do try to encourage these folks. Very good for "social distancing" in these trying times.
