With a sweeping 270-degree panorama of Glenelg Beach and the marina, Sammys on the Marina has been a coastal fixture since the late 1990s. Set on the Marina Pier, it offers a front-row seat to Adelaide’s shoreline, pairing a serene, luxurious mood with the rhythm of the ocean just beyond the glass.

The kitchen champions locally sourced seafood, treating pristine ingredients with a light touch that lets clean, briny flavours shine. A carefully curated wine list showcases South Australia’s celebrated regions, from crisp, maritime whites to generous, food-friendly reds; thoughtful pairings elevate the plates without overshadowing them, creating a dining experience that is both polished and unpretentious.

Elegantly appointed function rooms and an expansive terrace frame those coveted ocean vistas, making this a natural choice for long lunches, sunset suppers and special occasions. The service feels assured yet warm, the pace unhurried, and the setting unfailingly picturesque as sails and sea birds trace the horizon.

For a meal where the view is part of the conversation, pull up a chair at Sammys on the Marina. Book in, linger over a glass, and let the evening drift by — it is all plain sailing from there.
