Filled with light, flooding in from panoramic windows, this relaxed, airy dining room is handily located on the first floor of the Hotel Grand Chancellor Townsville.

Create your own tapas spread from the likes of blue cheese croquettes and kingfish ceviche or go for a more traditional three-course format. Crowd pleasers include double roasted pork belly with pickled fennel and cajun chicken breast, ideal with beer battered fries! Feeling virtuous? Opt for the sweet potato, kale quinoa and poached egg bowl.

A carefully curated beverage list ranges from quality Kiwi and Aussie wines to bottled beers and classic cocktails.

Always great service here and the food is good. It's a new menu since we last dined here. We didn't really enjoy the garlic bread, which had a kind of garlic hummus paste, but that's just us. The crispy squid tentacles were fantastic, the baked camembert was good. The chicken, eye fillet and salmon were very well cooked and tasted great. The lime and coconut creme brulee was delicious!

Lovely to be greeted by a gentleman to our beautifully set table. The menu had great selection. Service was friendly and excellent. Meal was well presented and cooked the way we asked. Will return again for sure.

Nice setting. Plenty of space and good lighting. Comfortable and clean. Staff were attentive and timely. Only thing was it took an hour from ordering before the main meal arrived. Considering we were first in and it wasn’t super busy thought that was a little overlong. Food was perfectly cooked, fresh and tasty though.
