Enjoy food that looks as good as it tastes at Auvers Restaurant, a Modern Australian restaurant in Darling Square.

This venue was named after Auvers-sur-Oise, a town Vincent Van Gogh found inspiring and eventually passed away in. Auvers Café pays homage to the great artist with vibrant décor and dishes that look almost too good to eat.

The menu is Modern Australian with an Asian flare. The two cuisines almost surprisingly complement each other, with dishes like the chicken karrage at home next to the beef tartare, and the confit duck sitting nicely across from the mushroom risotto. A kid’s menu option is also available.

The dessert menu again crosses the globe, with dishes including black sesame fried ice cream and Auvers pancakes—delicious!

And, for those looking to add a beverage or two to their meal, this is a fully licensed restaurant. The house cocktails are a tribute to Van Gogh, with names such as Sunflower in Hand or Telling to Van Gogh, and there are also fresh juices, smoothies, beer, wine and soft drinks available.

Had a great first time experience there!

Food was delicious! We had the eye fillet which was cooked on point and that capsicum puree was to die for! It was amazing as it melted into your mouth and the aroma was just so good!!

My partner had the lamb shoulder which was quiet nice, it had a rice filling on the bottom that worked well with the lamb.

We also had the escargot as entree which was delicious! There was so many escargot and the crunchy pieces around it added a nice texture. The sauce was also very nice.

We also had chicken karage which was nice, but the meat could be a bit more juicer.

On top of this we had the black sesame & matcha frappe. The flavor was more distinct in the black sesame! I would certainly go again for the black sesame frappe! :)

Overall, a great experience. Server was really nice and the pacing of food was great.

Would recommend and would certainly like to come back again for another nice treat :)

Great experience at Auvers on Christmas Eve! Trendy, modern vibe with clean decor. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic. Food was wonderful - had the eye fillet, risotto and lamb log, all which I’d happily return for. Signature pancakes were enormous and very filling but delicious. Overall great value for money with the first table deal!

This was one of the nicest restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is nothing short of gourmet (try the veggie gyoza and confit salmon). The staff are so lovely and it’s a very comfortable atmosphere. Must try!

I've been to Auvers a few times for brunch and thought it was time to try the dinner menu. We got the Chorizo Hash, Vege Gyoza, Pork belly, Mushroom risotto and Black Sesame ried ice cream. All the dishes were very tasty. I really enjoyed the fried ice cream! Boyfriend review: the risotto was perfect.

The staff are also extremely friendly.

We had the cold meat and cheese plate as an entree - was a generous and tasty serving. For mains we had the two confit dishes - the duck and the salmon, again both very tasty meals. Service was attentive without being annoying. The beer prices were good - however would have liked to see some Australian beers on the list. They had wine by the glass but I am not sure why not by the bottle.

All in all great meals at a very reasonable price.

We were so impressed by our meal at Auvers Cafe. The menu includes unique ingredients brought together in creative ways for incredible flavour. Sure it’s a cafe, but the food is the standard of a top restaurant and was amazingly good value at 50% off. We also loved how well presented each dish was, especially the desserts! The food was exceptional! Definitely 5 star and well thought out menu.
I suspect the restaurant wasn't prepared for a busy night due to a nearby show at the ICC as the service was quite inattentive as it got busier and it felt understaffed. The vibe is definitely a cafe feel (small tables and bright lighting but the food is high restaurant quality. We'd go back for the food for sure.

We were 3. Good food for a café and food presentation instagrammed. We had a 3 course meal. Dessert size is humongous. Luckily we ordered 2 only but still could not finish everything on the plate. Great drink cocktail not extremely diluted with ice. Although busy, service was attentive. Good vibe. Pleasant evening overall.

My family of four popped down to Darling Square's newly opened Auver's Cafe for a celebratory dinner. Upon arrival we were greeted kindly by the waitstaff and promptly ushered to a table in a cozy alcove.

With simple decor and wooden interior, Auver's invites a homely and intimate atmosphere, but still maintains its modern and youthful ambience through it's eye-catching Van Gogh inspired murals, featuring quirky characters and sunflowers painted in vibrant colours. Overall, we found that the atmosphere was inviting and mirrors the overall vision of the cafe.

Auver's dinner menu is elaborate, and transforms simple dishes by integrating French cooking techniques with unique Japanese ingredients to
offer a unique sensory experience. Whilst all dishes we ordered were generous and spectacularly plated, the highlights of the night for us would be the Tri-colour Seafood Spaghetti which offerred a generous spread of fresh seafood ingedients. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Mushroom risotto and180gm Beef Eye Fillet.

We finished the night off by sharing a dessert - Coconut Pandan Parfait Nougatine which was lacking in the strong Pandan flavour commonly found in other Pandan flavoured desserts.

We were slightly disappointed by the iced mocha which was weak in coffee flavour and tasted mostly of milk and ice. On the other hand, the hojicha latte was exceptional.

What truly made our night was the exceptional service from the waitstaff who were very helpful and attentive to our needs (my daughter has a severe nut allergy) and was willing to offer recommendations and clarify our questions with the kitchen staff.

We look forward to returning again to dine at Auver's Cafe!
