If casual dining and puns get you bleating, Black Sheep Espresso Baa, Currumbin has you covered with three bags full.

Since opening in early 2018, the café group’s second edition has built a strong reputation for offering a laid back environment, with modern styling and great food and drink to boot.

The playful dinner ‘menewe’ offers firm flock-approved favourites like the stuffed chicken boob, a rich, cheesy chicken breast and fries offering, alongside more unusual options such as butter duck, a Fijian-inspired take on traditional butter chicken.

Being an espresso bar, coffee is a must here. However, it would be remiss to ignore the hand-selected wines and beers on offer, primarily Australia and New Zealand natives, including Mumm Petit Cordon, a welcome opportunity to add some bubbles to your life.

So, next time you’re in Currumbin, be sure to shepherd your friends through the front door of Black Sheep Espresso Baa for great fodder and fun times.

Cute little restaurant! Was perhaps unpredictability busy at the time we ate and the mains did take slightly longer to be served than expected but was well worth the wait! Great variety and I love the back story of where the dishes originated on the menu. Will absolutely go back as I need to try the Goat Curry next time!

Loved the goat curry, it smelt amazing and the flavour of the spices really came through. The buttermilk crispy chicken burger was a hit with my kids and the husband enjoyed his pan-fried sirloin. It's a tiny joint but cosy and the chef is friendly and thoughtful. We'd go back without a discount, the prices are so reasonable and it's definitely worth it!
