Reviews

We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our table straight away even though we were 15 mns early. They continued to be attentive & friendly, bringing water & taking our orders when we were ready. Food arrived very promptly & was simply devine! The flavours were amazing, great value for money as well. Would definately return to this restaurant without hesitation. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely too.

Great - we enjoyed ourselves. This place delivers what it aims to: relaxed vibe, tasty pub-style food, great beers (and wine and cocktail jugs). Good prices (even without first table). We would come back for casual after-work drinks and nibble food. Good location for accessing Gardens Theatre, too, so it'd be great for a pre-theatre snack.

Really impressive! So glad that, via firsttable, we found this alehouse! Kicked off with good prawn and chorizo starters. Then our steaks were so good! Beer options hit the spot too. Great service from all the staff capped off a memorable Friday night in the city. Cheers!

We booked a table through First Table for the first time, easy to book, and the restaurant was great, the staff were on top of asking if we needed more drinks and we were never left waiting long to order any of the food! 50% off the food bill was brilliant too

Great venue, we sat inside on gorgeous chairs, we all had different meals. The beef checks we great my steak & scallops beautiful the pork noisette also beautifully cooked. The salmon was the only let down my friend hoping the skin that was on was crispy was not, and it was cooked more than he would have liked but the rest in his plate was great. We’d dine here again

From the seating, attentive & friendly staff, ambience (great music at right volume) right through to the entree (charceturie board), main (rump & scallops, truffle fries) & dessert (pecan pie) was brilliant to celebrate my 50th with a girlfriend up from Sydney. Will definitely dine there again!

I have to Mr Edward's couple of times and food has always been outstanding, Friday night I wanted to take my friend for a special dinner and since she had been meaning to try this place for the longest time it was the perfect opportunity, she was impressed with the ambiance but we both were even more impressed once the plates were served (they were plated beautifully and looked so yummy) we ordered the Rump steak and scallops and the braised Pork Noisette and not only were they cooked to perfection but my friend even said that it was the best meal she has had in Brisbane , we loved it so much that are going with a larger group of friends in a couple of weeks. I Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to have the combination of an outstanding meal with the best beer selection in the area.

This was definitely one of the best meals I've eaten in Brisbane recently. We ordered the Mediterranean Lamb and the Ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. Melt in your mouth delicious. Shared the profiteroles for dessert and it did not disappoint. Not a single fault with the food. Service was great too! Will be back again and again.

Made welcome from the get go from the friendly and efficient staff.
Service was first class and our dinner was next level in flavour and generosity of serve.
Ambience and mood of the room was very comfortable and friendly with a good vibe happening.
Of course the craft beer was as good as mothers milk.
Next time we are in Brisvegas I am taking a group there.

Food was terrible, good place to go for a couple of quiet drinks but I wouldn’t recommend the food. I got the chicken cordon Bleu, came with 1 carrot and 2 potatos. There wasn’t enough sauce so it was quite dry. There was supposed to be ham inside but could barely see any and the cheese was supposed to be cheddar but had a horrible taste (do not think this was cheddar..) my partner got the steak which was also very average. Don’t bother..

Beautiful decor, warm greeting and had drink order taken quickly, menu had a great variety. Food was slow to come out although restaurant wasnt overly busy. When meals came, they were quite delicious. Ordered desserts and they came out quicker then mains although the order came out wrong and the wait staff seemed to insist we had order that item (pecan pie when profiteroles had been ordered) took 3 times of me insisting it wasn't ordered and what i had actually ordered before it was taken back and rectified. Correct order did come out quickly though. We were then billed incorrectly and had to have that rectified. Although the food was delicious, the experience was somewhat dampened by the service.

Restaurant was very quiet, service was good. Food was disappointing. Green beans and kale had three very small pieces of kale, so really just beans. Scallops were tasty enough but came with 4 fairly large pieces of raw cauliflower, not nice and didn’t go with the meal. My husband’s steak was good but chips were very soggy. Would go back.
