Cuisine: A La Carte, Craft Beer Bar, Modern Australian
Price Point: Mains from $25 - $35+

Allow us to introduce you to Mr Edward's, an esteemed chap and a superb alehouse and kitchen that fuses modern Australian and European cooking.

Serving delicious food and unique craft beers, it's a popular watering hole for locals and it's not hard to see why. Here, hospitality is everything and as soon as you walk in you will feel right at home. Recline in its casual dining room or settle yourself outside and watch the goings-on from the corner of Edward and Margret Street.

The main dishes see old classics given the modern treatment. Hungry? You'll practically be rolling home after a duo of lamb with carrot and olive mash, their chicken cordon bleu and pork noisette with crispy roasties! For something lighter, opt for the tagliatelle pasta with a tangy tomato sauce, the roasted veggies with lentils and the fish of the day.

If you're a craft beer connoisseur you're in the right place. They have bottles and cans from all over Oz as well as Germany and Belgium, the undisputed kingdom of beer.

Reviews

Great little place with a friendly vibe and a handy location in the city.

Out of our two mains ordered, one was to die for and the other was good.

Good range of beers on the menu.

Staff were really friendly and attentive.

We'll be back again for sure.

I have to Mr Edward's couple of times and food has always been outstanding, Friday night I wanted to take my friend for a special dinner and since she had been meaning to try this place for the longest time it was the perfect opportunity, she was impressed with the ambiance but we both were even more impressed once the plates were served (they were plated beautifully and looked so yummy) we ordered the Rump steak and scallops and the braised Pork Noisette and not only were they cooked to perfection but my friend even said that it was the best meal she has had in Brisbane , we loved it so much that are going with a larger group of friends in a couple of weeks. I Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants to have the combination of an outstanding meal with the best beer selection in the area.

This was definitely one of the best meals I've eaten in Brisbane recently. We ordered the Mediterranean Lamb and the Ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. Melt in your mouth delicious. Shared the profiteroles for dessert and it did not disappoint. Not a single fault with the food. Service was great too! Will be back again and again.

We turned up and were greeted straight away. The staff where positive and welcoming, water was brought over and we were supplied with drinks and food menus. Our meals arrived in good time and were tasty. Steak was cooked as requested and very tender. We would definitely go back as we had a great time assisted by the ambiance of the restaurant.

Beautiful decor, warm greeting and had drink order taken quickly, menu had a great variety. Food was slow to come out although restaurant wasnt overly busy. When meals came, they were quite delicious. Ordered desserts and they came out quicker then mains although the order came out wrong and the wait staff seemed to insist we had order that item (pecan pie when profiteroles had been ordered) took 3 times of me insisting it wasn't ordered and what i had actually ordered before it was taken back and rectified. Correct order did come out quickly though. We were then billed incorrectly and had to have that rectified. Although the food was delicious, the experience was somewhat dampened by the service.

Restaurant was very quiet, service was good. Food was disappointing. Green beans and kale had three very small pieces of kale, so really just beans. Scallops were tasty enough but came with 4 fairly large pieces of raw cauliflower, not nice and didn’t go with the meal. My husband’s steak was good but chips were very soggy. Would go back.
