Petite Mort has an excellent reputation and I was keen to actually go and try the food etc. I was certainly not disappointed. The service was first class - attentive, professional, informative yet not intrusive. The food was excellent - really 5 star. Tasty, different and fabulously presented. A great experience and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It has to be one of Perth's top restaurants.
Enjoy !

I liked everything about this restaurant and our experience there.
Atmosphere: Nice but not ostentatious (smart casual). Chairs were comfortable; tables were a reasonable distance apart; noise level was very acceptable.
Service: Choice of still or sparkling water and our glasses were never empty. Wait staff was friendly and personable without being overly intrusive. They asked about allergies and food intolerances and were knowledgeable about all the food (immediately able to tell me what contained lactose and how much) and described each course in detail. They asked if it was a special occasion and, as it was, we received a plate with happy anniversary written on it at the end and a sparkler with a few small biscuits.
Food: Divine. From the contrast of flavours and textures to the appearance, and even the temperature, everything was impeccable and delicious. Beef, pork, and chicken were beautifully tender where they needed to be, other bits warm or crisp or creamy in turn. A few standouts for me included a wasabi sorbet and the death by chocolate dessert, which did indeed live up to the name Petite Mort.
Drink: We opted not to do the wine pairing with our meal, but ordered a glass of the sparkling wine which was delicious, and when my husband wanted a glass of wine they recommended the dry rose which was the pairing for the pork course and he was very happy with that choice.
I would happily recommend Petite Mort to anyone who likes a degustation experience. Having the First Table discount was wonderful, though we were probably there for over three hours and saw many other happy patrons paying full price. Great experience.

This is a gem of a place, outstanding service yet a fabulous down to earth, make you feel relaxed and comfortable vibe. The degustation meal was just divine, one of the best things about it is that you try various foods you may not necessarily have done before. Favourites were the salmon, duck and the chocolate dessert YUM! We felt valued as guests and diners and the staff all seemed happy and enjoying their night too. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food from preparation to presentation. Service was delightfully warm and very accommodating. With one of us having some food allergies, it took a little creativity for the chef to come up with an instant twist on the dish and it was very well executed.
The chef's cured salmon signature dish was delicious. A couple of the meat dishes were a bit fat for my liking but others adored them.
Death by Chocolate? Absolutely! It's an adventurous chocolate trail served up on a plate. Every mouthful was to die for.

So great that Petit Mort partners with First Table; the food has always been impeccable and now to get it at a price like that! From the entrees to the dessert (and a surprise at the end), this was a taste of heaven. They even accommodated a last minute change request for the food. It was a night out to remember. Now I'm on the hunt for more great restaurants that partner with FT. Thanks for making this happen!
