Cuisine: A La Carte, Asian, Japanese
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $25

Tokki is a casual restaurant that pairs Japanese and Korean food flavours with fun.

Step inside this corner-block venue and you’ll feel like you’re coming home. Table settings are perfect for intimate gatherings or larger groups, with some beautiful window seating available if you would like to watch the world of Surry Hills go by as you wait for your meal.

But you won’t be waiting for long.

Tokki’s menu is focused on sharing. The cuisine is the sort of more-ish fare loaded with comfort and spice. Think dishes like Korean fried chicken, bao buns, katsu katsu and pork and kimchi gyoza. There’s even a raw bar, with ceviche and sashimi, and a selection of ‘bigs’ plates for those who are really ready to feast.

Tokki was birthed from the Japanese and Korean izayakas, small drinking houses where you could enjoy a beverage with a dish or two—and their drinks list does not disappoint. Bespoke cocktails cater to a wide range of flavour palates, with small-batch beer and a variety of organic and biodynamic wines also available.

Amazing place !!!! My boyfriend and I ordered 2-3 things from each category and we honestly couldn’t fault anything. Food was exciting and mostly importantly delicious ! We opted to sit at the bar and it was really nice and comfy.
Extra points to the bartender who made a custom mocktail, a raspberry pina colada sooo yummy.
Really good service too !!

Tokki was fabulous! We probably ordered too much, but everything sounded fantastic so was justified going a tad nuts. We had the tuna with bacon cream (it sounds funky but there was some subtle plate licking ay have occurred by the end), pork and kimchi gyoza which I think was a fried gyoza pastry and some melt in your mouth steamed pork belly slices, KFC and prawn baos (crunch galore) and pork belly bossam. All top dishes. Walked out so full, I was surprised I didn't roll back down hill on Foveaux. Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu soon!

Fantastic interiors, really lively, great table set up, great light - proximity to the bar adds to atmosphere.
Service was friendly and prompt, with great individual care given.
Food was good - the fried chicken was a stand out but the corn was slightly cold, as was the meat tray. Hard to know if we just ordered incorrectly but I think there's slight room for improvement on the food.

Amazing food & cocktails! Kingfish ceviche & Zucchini flowers were to die for!
Staff were lacking personality / friendliness, but overall the restaurant had a cool / fun vibe. Great place to go on a weeknight as it wasn't too busy :)
