For classic pub fare in a modern, relaxed setting, look no further than Guildford’s Stirling Arms Hotel.

Built in 1852, the Stirling Arms Hotel is one of the oldest pubs in WA, bringing with it heaps of character. The interior has been given a sensitive modern makeover, with splashes of colour contrasting greyscale backdrops.

The food is hearty, comforting and good for the soul, with tantalising offerings such as pie of the day or the Stirling burger – ideal while soaking up the sun in their huge beer garden.

To drink, the choice is staggering. With more beers, wines and cocktails than you can shake a stick at, you could drink here all year and struggle to get through the list. Our pick of the bunch is the Swan Valley Lager which you can enjoy for just $2.99 per pint with a Stirling Arms Hotel Cellar Key membership.

Cellar Key members can enjoy tasty discounts on the full beverage menu and can also earn points which can be redeemed for products.

For pub grub that is Stirling by name, sterling by nature, head down to the Stirling Arms Hotel.

Food was good, great menu selection, lovely outdoor dining area. Vegetarian options were limited but I did have a tasty spinach agnolotti and my guest loved her duck main.

We had some delicious and tender salt and pepper squid for entree. The Jamaican chicken wings were crunchy, but not enough spice. Steak, salad and chips were perfect! Hard to find a pub that serves a fresh side salad! Husband’s chicken parmy was over cooked. Wait staff super friendly, but there was a stuff up with the 50% off calculation which was a little awkward when I asked them to re-do it as the entrees hadn’t been discounted....over all nice experience with decent food to match. Would go back for their porterhouse.
