‘Moldy fig’ is an old insult directed at jazz purists who argued that jazz took a wrong turn in the 1920s, when developments like the introduction of printed scores occurred. The Moldy Fig here in Melbourne is a hub of traditionalists too – the team love traditional Cajun creole food, prepared with passion and dedication.
Tuck into gumbo, voodoo prawns and twice smashed potato. The menu is split into tempting vegetable dishes, seafood dishes and meat, poultry and game dishes. This extensive (and delicious) menu includes many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free dishes. If you’ve got any allergies, talk to your wait staff and they’ll happily guide you through the menu.
Finish off your meal with one of the chef’s very special desserts including chef’s special pies all served with cream, ice cream or crème anglaise.
