A relaxed, hidden gem. Friendly service, good food and a casual dining room overlooking the pool. The best pork belly, and I loved the rack of lamb.

The venue was modern clean and welcoming as we dined inside rather than on the deck poolside. Service was polite and friendly, but service from the kitchen was very slow for our entree. Entrees weren't great, the Beetroot carpaccio was a disaster. The Beetroot was tinned and way too vinegary. The other entree was prawns, which were hidden under a pile of corriander. Not enough sauce and gone cold. Our first 2 mains, the lamb rack and barramundi were both half cold on arrival to our table. The lamb was actually only half a rack, cooked perfectly but again not enough sauce. The barramundi was cold and the coconut foam and pea purée just didn't go together on the plate. We were about to give up but decided seeing as our food was half price to order another main each, and we ordered the sirloin steak. It arrived within 10 minutes and was amazing. Hot, cooked perfectly medium rare, just enough sauce, everything was so tasty, including the mash and carrots and asparagus, all hot and cooked perfectly. Our evening had been redeemed by this final dish and thankfully the waitress also didn't charge for the Beetroot entree. All in all, despite some issues, we did enjoy our evening overall. Perhaps it was a case of one chef had a bad night and one had a good night? I would say Poolside is worth a try, just order the right dish. I would also suggest the restaurants head chef takes the Beetroot plate off the menu forever, or at least use your own roasted beets.

The place isn't too bad but the ambience could have been much more better... Food was great.. We had salmon and chicken Parmigiana both were really good... Being there by 6pm, in one way is good because we will be still in the happy hour... If you are after food and not ambience, I would definitely recommend the place

Food was good and great for the price, the restaurant didn’t have air con but a portable machine which didn’t cope
At times we had to try and find staff so we could get drinks (at one point just got up and went to the bar ourselves)
But can’t complain, well worth having a first table

A bit of a hidden gem in Darwin. The pork belly entree was delicious and so was the mushroom stack. Lovely attentive staff made this a fantastic First Table experience. We can’t wait to book our next First Table!

First time booking with first table! We had a great evening out! As parents to a 6month old it can be challenging to find a place to eat out at that has room for a pram but also serves great food and has a nice atmosphere, ok the restaurant.
Service was great, food was great, service was friendly and very helpful. And booking with First Table made the dinner out a lot more affordable for a cheeky mid week dinner out!
Thank you Pool Side bar being apart of first table. Will definitely book with first tables again and also eat at Pool side bar again!
Thank you
