Los Villanos Mexican kitchen is such a cool quirky place! The food is amazing, staff are great! The guacamole was the best, definitely recommend starting with the nachos they’re amazing! The place has a great vibe and the two young ladies who served us were lovely, thanks so much!

This was our first experience using first table and Los Villanos Mexican Kitchen made it a great one! Great food, excellent service, we loved the tequila menu I had the spicy margarita, beware! It’s super hot but delicious! The vege tacos could do with some work, they weren’t very appetising and were quite sloppy. Other than that, our food was great we will be back again for sure.

Great service, super friendly! And the food was massive, so much more than we expected. The ribs are unreal, cannot recommend enough.

My two adult children & tween and I had a lovely meal and drinks at this restaurant. We ordered a share plate for 2 and it fed 4. The jug of marghuerita also went down very nicely.

Since our previous favourite Mexican restaurant closed, we’ve struggled to find another that we liked. We’ve found it now. Nachos to start were good, then we shared divine slow-cooked lamb and spicy ribs in a sweetly flavoured sauce. We’ll be back.

Service was excellent and the decor was fun! Enchilada was delicious... as was the chips and guacamole. Tacos and burritos weren’t bad but there is better Mexican around Brisbane. In saying that, good option for an affordable, earlier dinner!

Lovely little Mexican place for a quick bite. The service was very quick which we needed as we were going to see Aladdin. The waiter was nice but got one of our orders wrong, however, he got our food quickly made and let us keep the extra food free of charge.Really recommend the spicy chicken tostado, chilli beef nachos and ancient grains!

This is our second visit to Los Villanos and we got the same great service and good! mouth watering spicy ribs, thick and tasty enchiladas and a nice starter of heaping nachos made for an amazing Mexican dinner date with plenty of time for a movie afterwards! Will be back again!

Good service and great food.
It is on the hot side of chilli so make sure you ask for it mild if you need that.
Great night out.

Friendly staff, amazing food! Really enjoyed the nacho starter which was larger than it appeared! We had the enchiladas, and the ribs from previous reviewers were a winner! A bit spicy on the ribs but the glaze made it cool down quick. Add a couple sides and bevvies to make it a great night out!

Love this place! Really relaxed atmosphere, very casual. The service is always super friendly, but the real hero here is the food.
The ribs are a must, but everything on the menu is amazing.

We loved our dining experience at Los Villanos!

Our waitress had a beautifully professional manner. We felt immediately welcomed and attended to.
Seating was delightfully casual, we got to choose where we wanted to sit. We sat at an outside high table, which was very comfortable thanks to the seat cushion, footrest and sloped seat back.
We started with a drink each - 500ml of the house draught for the man and margarita of the day for me with grapefruit and lime was a fun twist that works really well.

The atmosphere is fantastic, calm and relaxing, muted lighting, funky iconic Mexican memorabilia tastefully placed.

We chose a range of dishes to maximise a good selection from the menu.
Mexican street corn YUM, I could eat it all day! Ancient grains salad - D-licious! Pops of pomegranate with farro (wheat), salsa and corn - the only downer was the corn was missing from our salad, but it was still an excellent salad.
The taco platter - 2 each of the chicken - good flavour enhanced by the complimentary hot sauce, pulled pork - pineapple salsa made it, and kingfish - green garlic mole makes it!
Lastly Pedros Grandmothers ribs - meat literally fell off the bone, was tender and juicy, full of flavour which got even better when eaten in tandem with the gherkins or jalapeños that come with it ... it was too much food but there was no problem getting a couple of takeaway boxes so we could enjoy it again the next day, which we did! Two bottles of the complimentary hot sauce at $10 each to take home, and the lot came to $90. Food was only $40 with the first table discount - thank you First Table!
Highly recommend a relaxing and tasty meal here ... we will be back!

The atmosphere at this restaurant was better than I expected. We sat outside and there were pretty lights, and overall it looked really cool and colourful. All of the girls serving were very nice, friendly and attentive. The food was presented really well and the portion sizes were bigger than expected, especially the quesadillas! The food also tasted very good, the only slight critique I have is that the quesadillas weren't cheesy but everything was still really good. The whole First Table thing was very easy and uncomplicated to work out with them.

With 2 hours free parking, The Barracks is a great foodie destination and Los Villano was indeed a treat. It was refreshing to eat Mexican dishes loaded with flavour especially the slow cooked glazed pork ribs. Plenty of cocktails to choose from and overall the restaurant has a great friendly vibe with lovely staff who go out of there way to assist.

Had a great meal at Los Villanos! Tasty food, fresh ingredients and a nice drinks menu (the frozen margaritas went down particularly well!)

The meal was served relatively quickly so only thing I'd say is if you're looking for a long, leisurely dinner, this isn't your place. But if you're looking for a quick, delicious meal in a great area, this place is highly recommended

Really enjoyed the meal - casual, relaxed dining in a great location - the Barracks arcade is loaded with character and on the evening we ate there, a cool oasis after a very hot Brisbane day! Attentive, friendly service. Will definitely be going back and taking our friends with us. Perfect for before/after the movies.
